Most  birds can fly in the air and walk on the ground.

Some birds like ducks and swans can swim in water. Birds possess a number of features which help them to fly. These feature are:

• They have streamlined bodies which makes it easier for them to move in air.
• Bones are hollow and light which makes their body light.
• They have wings with feathers. Flapping of wings provides both thrust and lift in the air.
• Strong breast muscles help in flapping of wings during flight.

अधिकांश पक्षी हवा में उड़ सकते हैं और जमीन पर चल सकते हैं।

बतख और हंस जैसे कुछ पक्षी पानी में तैर सकते हैं। पक्षियों के पास कई सुविधाएं हैं जो उन्हें उड़ान भरने में मदद करती हैं। ये सुविधा हैं:

• उनके पास सुव्यवस्थित निकायों हैं जो उनके लिए हवा में स्थानांतरित करना आसान बनाता है।
• हड्डियां खोखले और प्रकाश हैं जो उनके शरीर को प्रकाश बनाती हैं।
• उनके पंखों के साथ पंख हैं। पंखों का झुकाव दोनों हवा में जोर और उठाता है।
• मजबूत स्तन की मांसपेशियां उड़ान के दौरान पंखों को फिसलने में मदद करती हैं।
